Travis Cook

CEO

Travis Cook is the founder and CEO of Convergence Financial, a firm created to help financial advisors design the future they want without compromise. With nearly 20 years in the financial services industry, Travis understands the advisor journey because he has lived it himself—building a successful practice managing more than $250 million in client assets, while also gaining leadership experience in both mid-level management and C-suite roles.

He founded Convergence on a simple but powerful belief: “Convergence was built by advisors—for advisors—on a platform of independence that includes the support and tools of a larger firm. We believe this independent structure serves our clients better, and we see our practice model as a great fit for other advisors who share a similar passion.”

That vision drives how Travis leads today. Advisors at Convergence gain access to the resources, technology, and community they need to thrive—but if they prefer their own systems or tools, the firm supports that too. Independence here truly means flexibility, freedom, and building a practice on your own terms.

Known for his consultative approach, Travis works side by side with advisors to explore growth opportunities, succession planning, acquisitions, or transitions that fit their goals. He’s built a reputation for being approachable and always just a phone call away, helping advisors think creatively about the best scenarios for their business and their life.

A graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Travis earned his Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC®) designation in 2013 and became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) in 2019. His combination of personal advisor experience and leadership across multiple levels of the industry uniquely equips him to guide others through the independence journey.

Outside the office, Travis enjoys time with his wife, Melissa, and their two energetic boys, Nolan and Colin. Whether it’s family time or cheering on Mizzou at a sporting event, he values the same balance and fulfillment he helps other advisors pursue.
